Apple Inc has already begun to test a 15-inch MacBook Air with an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU coupled with 8GB of RAM. As of right off into the target, it misses out on the rumor it had been with that the 15-inch MacBook Air will be constructed with the existing M2 processor instead of picking up the M3 processor.

The simple situation would also indicate the massive update of the Mac series is likely not to be rolled out together with the M3; it will also procrastinate the time for Apple to bag an order for TSMC’s 3nm with the M3.

The company had been rumored about Apple’s new MacBook Air, as it was whispered to launch MacBook in multiple sizes. As has been confirmed by a few reports, Apple is developing new MacBook Air in two sizes, 13-inch and 15-inch, and the common thing in all these is they will all be swapped with M3 processors.

But, what makes the upcoming Apple 15-inch MacBook more concerned is that the device will back to claim its previous resemblance as it will be equipped with the M2 processor instead of getting the M3 chip due to the ongoing economic situation.

Apple’s upcoming MacBooks will have to stay a bit longer to be backed with an M3 chip, which also suggests Apple’s 3-nanometer chipset will be debuted in the fall of this year.

According to a recent report from market research and agency IDC, global laptop shipments will significantly decline by 29% in the first quarter of 2023. Among the prudent writing, Apple has the most considerable turn down with a 40.5% drop in shipments. This situation will keep the iPhone maker from launching new notebooks.

Furthermore, TSMC has officially started the mass production of 3nm since the end of 2022; the company believes that 3nm could contribute a more significant number in revenue from the third quarter of 2023.
