Apple is coming up with two update releases today, March 29, one being the iOS 11.3 and two, the first ever software update for HomePod. It is important to note that the HomePod update will be workable after your iOS device gets to 11.3.
The Apple iOS 11.3 update brings new Animoji, throttling controls for iPhone, usual bug fixes, and performance improvements. It is for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and is expected to be available by now. It’s dubbed as a significant feature update as well.
The chief newness includes new Health Records features in Health, Business Chat for iMessage in the US, and HomeKit software authentication that requires no chip certification. It had six beta versions, and some features have been coming on and off for some users since its announcement in January.
As for the Apple HomePod software update, it brings support for whole house audio and AirPlay 2. Its operating system audio is a variant of iOS, and updates can be managed in the Home app. Users with paired HomePod will receive an alert for the software update starting today. Updates for watchOS and tvOS should as well be available today.
