Apple on Thursday released watchOS 4.3, the third major update to the watchOS 4 operating system that runs on the Apple Watch. WatchOS 4.3, launched to the public three months after the release of the previous update, has come with a bunch of features and new improvements that make it more luring to its users.
WatchOS 4.3 can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone. Initially, Apple Watch users will see smaller changes, including a new battery charging animation with refreshed system graphics and other convenience functions. As for the bigger changes, users who charge the Apple Watch on a vertical stand can now use a new portrait view of the Nightstand.
One standout feature has arrived in the new firmware; Apple has restored the ability to use Apple Watch as a remote control for the music on your iPhone, one that was removed with watchOS 4 last September. The update allows users to look through the music catalog located on a connected iPhone. It also adds as it lets users “love” and “dislike” songs, delete tracks, and route audio to AirPlay devices.
The Apple Watch needs to have at least 50 percent battery to install the new update, placed on a charger, and to be in a range of the iPhone. The update allows users to quickly authorize and send payments using the facility directly from their wrist without needing to use an iPhone.
