Apple has announced that the company has finally launched the Swift Playgrounds 4. The tech giant had made the announcement of the Swift Playgrounds 4 at the WWDC which took place earlier this year.

Now, the newly released software helps users to build iPhone and iPad apps using the SwiftUI directly onto their Apple devices. Moreover, the software allows users to preview apps in real time as changes are made to the app itself. Apple has also announced that using the SwiftUI will enable users to upload their finished app to the App Store thanks to the “App Store Connect” integration.

“Swift Playgrounds is the best and easiest way to learn how to code,” Apple said in a blog post. The blog post further announced, “Code is immediately reflected in the live preview as you build apps, and you can run your apps full screen to test them out.

A new open project format based on Swift packages can be opened and edited in Swift Playgrounds for iPad and within Xcode on Mac, offering you even more versatility to develop apps across iPad and Mac.”

The software also features inline code suggestions, making it easier for developers to write code quickly and accurately. The Swift Package which comes along with the software itself allows the users to include publicly available code so that it can be used to enhance the apps created by the users. The “Snippets Library” inside the software provides the users with various SwiftUI controls, symbols, and colors.

The whole idea behind the Swift Playgrounds 4 is that developers can test their ideas on their iPhone or iPad without needing to use a MacBook. However, for the users to have access to the software, their Apple devices need to have iPadOS 15.2 or later ones.
