Apple reportedly announced to launch iPhone 5se and a new iPad Air 3 on March 15, according to a report by 9to5mac.com, a website that specially publishes news on Apple.
The new sources show that the US technology giant may put the upcoming devices for sale online and in retail stores on March 18.
It was rumored earlier that Apple is planning to launch a new small iPhone similar to iPhone 5S but with added features that come in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.
This is perhaps Apple’s another effort to encourage their consumers who were asking for smaller-sized phones upgraded with the latest technologies.
The iPhone 5se will look similar to the iPhone 5s that was launched in 2013 but will come up with specifications of the iPhone 6, such as the iPhone 6’s 8-megapixel primary camera and 1.2-megapixel front camera.
As the iPhone 5se will be powered by Apple’s latest A9 and M9 processor, the users will get a faster experience compared to the 5S. Another added feature the device will pack with – is Apple Pay which normally comes with 6 or later versions.
According to 9to5mac, the smartphone may have a slight change in design and will also support Live Photos and available in three color variants gold, rose gold, silver, and space grey. 0
Apple typically releases iPhones or iPads after one or two weeks after the launch event and offers pre-orders. This time the company might change its strategy – though there is no concrete information on whether the company will offer its users for pre-order.
If the sources are to be believed, the iPad Air 3 is also expected to be launched at the same event. The 9.7-inch device might come with Smart Keyboards and Apple Pencil support and also may include Smart Connector, which we generally see in Apple-branded products.
“The iPad Air 3 is said to include a Smart Connector and support for Apple-branded accessories, which could mean that updated Smart Keyboards and Apple Pencil support for the 9.7-inch device is in the pipeline,” the report said. On the camera part, the upcoming iPad Air 3 is expected to have an upgraded camera that includes a potential rear flash for brighter photos powered by an A9 processor.
Though there is no official confirmation, the rumor suggests Apple is also planning to unveil the new Apple Watch series at the event. We have to wait until more news comes.
