The culmination of a partnership based on parallel thinking, singular vision, and mutual regard, Apple Watch Hermes is a unique timepiece designed with both utility and beauty in mind.
Apple launched its Hermès Series 2 models for pre-order last week, and now it will be officially available for purchase both online and in stores from today. Apple offers seven different Hermès models designed with finely handcrafted leather bands from Hermès. The new Apple-designed watch faces are based on the iconic Clipper, Cape Cod, and Espace Hermès watches.
The new models of Hermès serve as a refresh to last year’s original Apple Watch Hermès lineup, released in October 2015. The new Series 2 models have the same custom Hermès watch face, but beyond that and the bands, the Hermès models are identical to regular Apple Watch models.
It also has a built-in GPS chip which allows more advanced tracking, whether you’re hitting the ground running or gazing up at the stars in the sky -and crucially means you can leave your iPhone at home when you go outside for a run.
One more interesting feature is that it won’t stop working if you get it wet in shallow water – it’s waterproof, up to a point. Series 2 is also faster than the first Watch and boasts a much brighter display. There are not many changes except the new bands, including ones from Hermes and Nike.
Apple provided the information that the Hermès Series 2 models can be purchased through Apple’s website in many countries, while in-store availability is limited to select Apple Store and Hermès locations in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Honolulu, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Washington D.C.
The Apple Watch Series 2 price is a little more expensive than the first Watch’s launch price a year-and-a-half ago and way more than the currently discounted Apple Watch price. Prices range between $1,149 and $1,499 in the United States.
More features include: –
a) Faster processor:
Its dual-core chip is 50% faster and provides twice the graphics performance compared to the first Apple Watch. It’s going to be most noticeable when loading up third-party apps and making calls.
Apple Watch 2 has a similar dual-core processor, which the company calls the S1P. Essentially it’s the S2 without the embedded GPS chip.
b) Design and display:
There is a very minor change in Apple Watch Series 2 which might not be noticed at first glance, but look at the display, and you’ll notice a difference.
There’ll be a new finish: ceramic. It’ll join aluminum and stainless steel cases, with the ultra-expensive gold Apple Watch cases being retired in the upgrade to the Series 1 and Series 2.
c)No FaceTime camera:
Apple says that they focused on adding the GPS chip; that’s why Apple Watch 2 doesn’t have a camera.
It might appear in the Apple watch 3.
