John Gruber of Daring Fireball said that the Apple Watch Series 3 is going to have an “all-new form factor.” To start with, he echoed Bloomberg’s news that the device will pack an LTE chip.
The Apple Watch is most likely to receive a minor update regarding battery life, according to most rumors. There will also be other minor under-the-hood developments. Ming-Chi Kuo, the KGI Securities analyst, said before the launch of its predecessor that the Series 3 would have the first redesign of the device.
The device is going for its release in late 2017, most likely during September end. This is the month when Apple launches its flagship iPhone, and the launch might coincide with the upcoming iPhone 8. So far, we do not have further details about the Apple Watch, but Apple may be keeping it all a secret on major design changes. It might be so because of the chief market focus on the yet-to-release iPhone 8.
