As we reported last week, the long-anticipated fascinating event – the 2022 WWDC, has been fixed from June 6 to 10. The event is Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference where developers worldwide meet and discuss new technology inventions, share ideas, and ways to improve the tech sector.

As we reported then, the event is expected to feature the launch of Apple’s new iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, tvOS 16, watchOS 9, and other new technologies. However, ahead of next week’s event, we just discovered that the iOS 15 is nearing an estimated 90% adoption rate more than 250 days after its launch in last year’s WWDC event.

According to Mixpanel, Apple’s iOS 15 currently has an estimated adoption rate of 88.9%, an increase of nearly 10% in the last ten weeks. The figures are based on visits to apps and websites that utilize Mixpanel’s mobile analytics SDK, according to the mobile company.

However, Apple recently disclosed iOS 15 adoption figures in January, claiming that 72 percent of iPhones released in the last four years are running the company’s latest operating system. Although, the tech giant is expected to unveil the new company’s latest operating system – iOS 16, at the WWDC 2022 event.

Hence, a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, pointed out that the upcoming operating system is expected to be a big update for users, as Apple is reportedly considering a makeover of the Lock Screen, as well as upgrades to stock apps, new Apple apps, new forms of interaction, and more.

Similarly, the American tech giant also reportedly intends to make significant improvements to iPadOS to make it more Mac-like for users’ convenience.

While Apple will show out iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 next week, as well as macOS 13, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16, the improvements will not be accessible to everyone until later this fall. Instead, Apple will beta-test all of the changes with members of the public beta testing program and developers during the summer. Stay connected with TechGenyz for more latest updates.
