Apple has been ensnaring a large chunk of patents to draw up a steady pace to achieve a futuristic society, but not with the patent granted or the speculated machines. On October 7, the Qichacha APP exhibits that Apple recently awarded a patent for “methods for making non-terrestrial network communications comply with terrestrial standards and regulations”.
For those who have no idea about the non-terrestrial network, NTN is a vast network that consists of satellite communication networks, high altitude platform systems (HAPS), and air-to-ground networks.
Apple satellite communications patent summary shows that users’ devices can pattern transmitters or receivers to go along with the regulations of the borough to communicate with non-terrestrial networks, such as satellite networks, directly. Meanwhile, in one apotheosis, the user device can receive a demonstration of a regulation to be cling complied with the terrestrial communication system and apply a transmission prototype to the transmitter based on the code or standard.
User devices can also add or mend the receiver’s equipment to observe the noise level meter for received signals categorized by rules or standards. It is worth mentioning that Apple recently applied for a patent for an emergency communication system cultivated to broaden cellular coverage to regions that would otherwise have no networks. The initiative has been taken chiefly for law enforcement and emergency services personnel.
