ASUS has announced the expansion card PCE-AX3000, allowing you to give your desktop computer support for high-speed wireless.
For those users eager to have an 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 on their desktops without an M.2 E-key slot on their motherboards, ASUS has come up with the PCE-AX3000. This is a low-profile capable (half-height) NIC that provides up to 3000 Mbps wireless connectivity and the added convenience of Bluetooth 5.0 for short-range communications.
The product is made in the format PCI-Express x1. Implemented support for Wi-Fi 6, or 802.11ax. It is possible to work in the frequency ranges 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz: in the first case, the data transfer rate reaches 600 Mbit/s, and in the second – 2400 Mbit/s. A set of MU-MIMO antennae come included. Besides MU-MIMO, the card supports OFDMA for better collision prevention with other devices in the same channel, along with the WPA3 security protocol.
According to the price of the product, the company has not announced its price. However, media expectation assumes it to be within 50 USD.
