Asus ROG Phone 5 series took the gaming smartphone segment by storm with its high-end performance. The company is all set to launch the upgraded version, Asus ROG Phone 6 in the Chinese market. As confirmed by Asus, the smartphone is going to make its debut on July 5 in Taiwan. The event will be live-streamed online for the audience to watch.

Asus ROG Phone 6 is being boasted as the world’s first gaming smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. It is being said that the ROG Phone 6 series will have three smartphones – ROG Phone 6 base variant, ROG Phone 6 Pro, and the ROG Phone 6 Ultimate. All three of them will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor.

As of now, only a limited amount of information is available regarding the smartphone series. Expectations are that we will get to know more about the specifications and features of the devices as the launch date inches closer.

The impact of Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor

The audience is already hyped up to see a smartphone working on the latest flagship processor by Qualcomm. The successor of the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor has been seen in devices like the OnePlus 10 Pro, iQoo 9 Pro, and more.

It is being said that the Snapdragon 8 Plus SoC offers better performance and higher power efficiency as compared to its predecessor. The CPU performance of the processor has been boosted by 10%, along with a 30% increase in inefficiency.

Another major highlight of the processor is that it can provide better battery life to smartphones along with reducing the heating and lagging issues to a considerable extent. Furthermore, it consumes minimal power, meaning no battery drainage issues.
