Asus announced a pair of gaming laptops powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 5 3550H processor and Radeon RX 560X graphics; TUF FX505DY and FX705DY in India. Both the laptops have similar specifications but differ in screen sizes. Asus has included a specially-designed thermal solution to keep internal temperatures of the laptop low and maintain consistent performance over time.
The Ryzen 5 3550H processor powering FX505DY and FX705DY brags four cores and eight threads that can deliver high-end performance for popular games and daily work. The multi-threaded execution of the chip is precisely strong; thus,, the processor fits into a 35W power envelope without compromising the battery’s quality.
The TUF Gaming Laptops of Asus utilize Vega-based integrated graphics allowing APU to power the laptop on its own. This provides seven hours of 1080p video playback on FX705DY and nearly six hours on FX505DY thus furthering to conserve energy and extend battery life. When it is time to play, AMD Switchable Graphics tech automatically activates the laptop’s discrete Radeon RX 560X.
The Asus TUF FX705DY touts a 17.3-inch Full HD 1920 x 1080 display powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 3550H. It is also coupled with 60Hz NanoEdge IPS-level Radeon RX 560X and packs up to 32GB DDR4-2666 RAM. Both the laptops under the hood will come with a specially-designed thermal solution which keeps internal temperatures in check and maintains consistent performance over time.
