Asus took CES to showcase their new smartphone series. The Taiwan-based company unveiled two new models Zenfone AR and the Zenfone 3 Zoom at the event, specially designed for photography lovers. The company renamed the Zenfone series and now it is called ASUS Zenfone Pegasus 3S.
ASUS Zenfone Pegasus 3S the upgraded version of Zenfone Pegasus 3 which was released last year comes with enhanced features and design. The phone is having ultimate characteristics, a fused antenna band design found on the iPhone 7, and Vivo X9 with a solid metal body. Along with that, the new Zenfone 3S will have the front fingerprint sensor, which will be associated with the physical HOME BUTTON.
The interesting part of this smartphone is that the fingerprint sensor can store 5 different types of samples along with the fingerprint payment feature. The display is capable to tolerate external fragments like water and sweat.
The new Asus Zenfone Pegasus will have a 5.2-inch IPS HD display with 2.5D tempered glasses. The device supports an octa-core 64-bit processor and is integrated with the Snapdragon 652 chip. On the memory part, Pegasus 3S is powered by 3GB RAM with 32GB and 64GB internal storage options which is expandable up to 2TB via microSD.
The new Pegasus 3S has an ultimate battery backup which is different and better than the previous model. The upcoming device to will pack with a 5,000mAh battery along with a 5v/2A flash charge as well as a new power-saving mode.
The phone is having 13MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front camera with an f2.0 aperture and phase detection auto focus. The new Pegasus 3S supports dual SIM, fully integrated with Wi-Fi, 3G, VoLTE, and 4G+ high-speed network. The company announced that Zenfone Pegasus 3S will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
It is expected that the smartphone the hit the retail store by the end of this month priced at 1,999 yuan ($288) for the 64GB memory version.
