ASUS is expected to launch a new premium ultrabook, ASUS Zenbook S UX392 Ultrabook. The company has not officially announced its release date yet, but they are planning to unveil the new Ultrabook at CES in Las Vegas which is scheduled to take place from January 8 to January 12, 2019. The name, ASUS Zenbook S UX392 suggests that it may be the replacement for the previous ultrabook Zenbook S UX391 which was launched in June 2018 in the US. Even though at this early point nothing is known with utmost certainty, but one configuration indeed has been revealed of the new ASUS ultrabook. This single feature, however, is enough to judge the whole range of the new ultrabook.
The ASUS Zenbook S UX392 Ultrabook will feature a 13.3-inch IPS display with a 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The reason behind such a big display screen lies on either side of the display. The side frames are only 35 mm thick which means that the screen will be able to use 95% of the whole area. The ultrabook will run on quad-core Intel Whiskey Lake Chip, Intel Core i7-8565U. It will come with a pre-installed SSD-drive supporting 1 TB and 16 GB of RAM in DDR3 format. The latter, however, is sort of prerequisite to any other laptops available.
The ultrabook is very slick and only 1.29 cm thick weighing 1 kg only. The ASUS Zenbook S UX392 Ultrabook will run on three cell battery and its charging method is the same as any other laptop, through a power adapter with a USB-C connector. Apart from this main charging port, there is another USB-C port which can also be used both as an alternative charging port and for transferring images using the DisplayPort protocol. The ultrabook will also sport a USB 3.1 (Gen2) microSD card reader and a combined audio output, and it will come with a fingerprint scanner and can connect to Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (dual band) and support Bluetooth 5.0.
