Taiwan-based technology company Asus at CES 2017 this year announced the Zenfone AR smartphone, which is the world’s first smartphone with 8 GB RAM. Finally, the wait is over. The technology giant started shipping the flagship device this week, and the smartphone is already available in Taiwan for $825.
The 8Gb Zenfone AR sports Tango-enabled and Day-Dream-ready features, a virtual reality platform first introduced by Google before this Asus’s new smartphone.
The smartphone features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor 5.7-inch WQHD Super AMOLED display. The Camera quality features the 23 MP Sony IMX 318 sensor with OIS, 4K video recording support, and dual-LED flash. The front camera is 8MP with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED real tone flash. Asus Zenfone AR runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and powered by a 3,300 mAh battery.
The smartphone comes in four internal storage variations – 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB at $825 USD (53,073/- INR).
So far, there is no official confirmation of when it will be launched in India.
