Asus Zenfone Max M2, Pro M2 launched in India: Here’s everything you need to know

ASUS today has launched its newest smartphone which is the successor to one of the most popular budget smartphone, Zenfone Max Pro M1. The two new devices launched today in Delhi are Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Max M2 which brings several significant improvements in terms of both the design and specifications.

The “eagerly awaited” smartphone device has finally launched which is significantly different from the previous versions, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 no longer uses a body with metal material but now comes with a unibody glass design. The device that is touted as the Next Generation Gaming smartphone has a 6.3-inch screen size with FulHD+ resolution and a notch at the top. With a screen-to-body ratio that reaches up to 90%.

The power and volume buttons are on the right side, the sim card slot is on the left side, and on the bottom side there is a 3.5mm jack, micro USB and speaker grill. On the back, there are dual rear-cameras positioned on the upper right side complete with LED flashlights. In the middle, there is a fingerprint sensor and the ASUS logo.

Going to the specifications, the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 is powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC and LPDDR4x 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Not only does the SoC get a performance increase, but the camera module is also upgraded with a dual 12MP / F1.8 + 5MP depth sensing, and 13MP + Softlight LED selfie camera. Users can adjust their bokeh according to their own preferences, plus the devices come with AI Dual Camera photography and camera recording capabilities up to 4K quality with EIS stabilization features.

Asus Zenfone Max M2The Zenfone Max Pro M2 is powered by a 5000mAh battery, which is also equipped with 12 Battery Safety technology. Just like its predecessor, Zenfone Max Pro M2 also runs using Android Pure Stock, which in January 2019 is promised an update to Android version 9.0 Pie.

While the Asus Zenfone Max M2 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC and will be available in two variants – 3GB RAM / 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM / 64GB storage. The ZenFone Max M2 has a 6.26-inch HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It also features a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor at f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, along with an 8-megapixel selfie camera with front-flash. The battery is at 4000mAh capacity.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 price in India starts at Rs 12,999 and the ZenFone Max M2 price in India is starts at Rs. 9,999. The device will soon be available to buy from Flipkart.
