Since its launch, the Samsung virtual voice assistant Bixby was dragooned to enter into Galaxy devices, on the face of it, the Korean mobile manufacturer Samsung’s swiftness to slow down its AI enhancements in Bixby never put a reverse gear.
Today, Samsung announced that Bixby is grooming with an out-and-out blazingly faster and more intelligent, providing improved language recognition capabilities and greater command over the user’s mobile experience. Before we get to flick through the pages, it is good to know that Samsung has been taking various steps to ensure all the celebrations are not at odds with a shrieking coin out of the box.
Bixby can now support a custom wake-up phrase, and users can choose the feature from Bixby’s Settings section. Now arrives one of the best things of the update which appears to be a great face-off between popular virtual voice assistants, Bixby can now work coherently as it goes through its previous conversations with the user and has a debate of being a toddler to it.
For instance, it can play your rollercoaster music when you have asked for a heavy workout in Samsung health, the music would help the users to stay in the mirror where the sun exists. On the flip, you can ask Bixby about some famous singers and let it flow up with follow-up questions like when did their last concert happen? The digital voice assistant is meanwhile enhancing its on-device AI support.
Bixby can walk you through key commands without asking for an active internet connection. You can approach it for small tasks such as making it annoying by asking it to switch on the flashlight. The newly updated on-device AI support is currently available for stock Samsung apps, which support English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Korean languages.
To report directly to Google’s call screen features, Bixby’s Text call on the front takes on a different yet traditional approach out of the box. It describes a user’s text in audio and communicates to the caller on the user’s. The nifty feature is currently accessible to English users. Bixby Text Call can be accessible on the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4. All the new features of Bixby will be on life through a software update on compatible smartphones and tablets end of this month.
