Bose launched a futuristic audio sunglasses that work with Bluetooth headsets. This is the brand’s latest wearable in the form of sunglasses that claim to offer the performance of wireless headphones. The Bose smart audio sunglasses are launched just a year after its AR sunglasses were launched.
The new wearable will not play music with the earplug device, but a set of semi-open micro-audio on the inside of the temple which is also placed outside. Though the semi-open micro-audio is placed outside, Bose guarantees a certain degree of privacy to the users.
The Frames is also said to enhance personal audio, micro-acoustics, and voice controls, which allow users to enjoy music, make calls, and access virtual assistants.
The Bose smart glasses will have physical buttons under the temples, which can be used to connect/hang calls, adjust music, and activate the intelligent voice assistant in the associated mobile phone. Bose smart audio glasses also have a relatively high UV protection function that will serve as a pure sunglass hence blocking 99% of UVA / UVB radiation.
Last year Bose launched AR sunglasses which had GPS positioning function, but, the current version of the Bose smart audio glasses does not seem to have that hence making the playability of the wearable much flat.
Currently, Bose smart audio glasses are only available in the Chinese market with a price tag of 1599 yuan. It also comes with mirror silver and gradient blue replaceable lenses. The availability of the glasses in the global market is yet unknown.
