Capcom, the developer and the publisher of the game Resident Evil, announced the release of a new Resident Evil game. They promised to unveil further details on September 9 at 2 AM PT/5AM ET/10 AM BST with a new teaser of the new game. The teaser will be streamed live from the official website.
After the release of 2017’s Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, the developers also promised the sequel of the game Resident Evil 8. The fans of the virtual horror game have been waiting eagerly for the next part of the game since then. Yet Capcom has been silent regarding the issue.
The fans were given a ray of hope recently when selected RE ambassadors were invited to a new Resident Evil playlist for ‘a new game in early development’. Words have been spread that the new game is the promised sequel Resident Evil 8 while others think that the prototype will act as another multiplayer spin-off in the vein of 2015’s Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps. But it seems like that Capcom has recently snatched up a domain for ResidentEvilOutbreak.com.
The Resident Evil 2 is entitled as ‘Project Resistance‘ and will also be demonstrated at the Tokyo Game Show from September 9 to 15 this year. Gameplay of the demos will be streamed live throughout the week.
To conclude, project Resistance will probably be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One within next year. Furthermore, the fans could be getting another sequel of popular Resident Evil 2 game. We still have to wait until next month to know more about our favorite virtual horror game.
