CES or Consumer Electric Show is considered as one of the USA’s 10 best automotive shows. This year CES is commencing its program from January 7 to January 10 at Las Vegas. Like always, a large crowd has gathered to witness buzz-worthy tech news at the Las Vegas CES 2020.

Lamborghini Huracan Evo and Rivian will add Amazon Alexa
The Italian automaker Lamborghini and the Michigan based start-up Rivian are all set to integrate Amazon Alexa as the voice assistant. On the eve of the CES, Amazon announced that it is to team up with these two automakers.
As per the reports, Lamborghini will include Alexa in its luxurious vehicle, Huracan Evo which costs more than $2000,000. In addition to that, Rivian will also be getting Alexa in its first two all-electric vehicles, R1S SUV and R1T pickup.
As per the announcement, Rivian will also infuse Alexa in its 100,000 Amazon electric delivery vehicles which will run entirely on renewable energy. The production will hopefully begin in 2021.
Apart from these, Amazon also announced that it will be partnering with BMW and Fiat Chrysler soon. The reports say that the company will offer Amazon TV to in-car entertainment systems for these two giant automakers.
Hyundai will introduce flying car for Uber air taxis
Hyundai has brought life to its ‘flying car’ concept with its full-scale prototype at the CES in Las Vegas. According to the reports, the company is going to produce its flying cars on a large scale for Uber’s air taxi network.
The ride-hailing company had previously expressed its wish to perform its own test flights in 2020 as a part of the “Uber Elevate” project. At the Moment, Uber is working on its dream project which is to introduce air taxi service in a number of cities by 2023.
Hyundai’s latest addition to its vehicle list seems to be related to Uber’s “ELevate” project, as per sources. The new vehicle will reportedly carry five-person during flight. It will have a cruising speed of 180 mph (290 km/h) and a cruising altitude of 1,000–2,000 feet above the land.
The vehicle will produce less noise as it will have smaller, electric-powered rotors installed. Not only that, it will require only about five to seven minutes for recharging during peak hours. The company also claims that the vehicle will have a range of 100 kilometers between charging.
BMW will bring i3 Urban Suit concept car and Amazon Fire TV in its cars
BMV lives up to its luxurious name with its luxurious cars. Therefore, it is of no surprise if it introduces a car that is no less than a boutique hotel. With its newly showcased i3 Urban Space electric car concept, BMW will offer an entirely different in-car experience.
Its i3 may look like a futuristic urban car from the outside, but its interior may force us to think twice. In order to create a cozy atmosphere, BMW has only kept the dashboard and the driver’s seat at the front. An individual, sofa-like rear seat and wooden table have replaced the rear bench giving it a luxurious touch. There’s also a footrest at the front instead of the front passenger seat.
It has a 42-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack along with a 170-horsepower electric motor. The company will reportedly deploy a fleet of i3 Urban Suites on the streets of Las Vegas during CES 2020.
Along with it, BMW will also introduce Amazon Fire TV in its cars. Though the company is yet to specify further details, sources predict that it may start with the SUVs.
Audi AI: ME concept
Audi’s AI: ME is a part of the four-concept puzzle including Aicon, AI: Race and AI: Trail. This little car is packed with autonomous technology and a spacious interior.
Its front and rear fenders carry an array of lights to offer a better communication system with the outside world. The concept of fender lights makes the vehicle visible to the bikers and pedestrians.
It has a compact and spacious interior to make the owners more comfortable while riding. The Audi AI: ME comes with an in-vehicle VR system from Chloride. The vehicle is still at its conceptual stage and we do not have any news on its production details.
Bosch’s sun visor automatically blocks the sun
Bosch will re-introduce a comfortable driving experience with its AI-powered sun visor called Virtual Visor. It is rectangular in form and swings down from the headliner to block sunlight. The company demonstrated the concept at the CES 2020.
However, it is completely different from the other sun visors. It’s a transparent LCD screen tracking shadows across the front passengers’ faces with its occupant-monitoring camera.
The AI system reportedly identifies facial features, e.g., nose, ears, mouth, etc. Then it uses this information to tint only the parts of the visor through which sunlight hits the passenger’s eyes, creating a shadow that looks like a “robotic Venetian mask“.
Bosch is yet to begin its production. But once it’s produced, it will surely be an instant hit in the history of driving.
Jaguar Land Rover Pivi Pro debuts at CES 2020
Jaguar has unveiled the new Land Rover Defender, Pivi Pro at the CES 2020 in Las Vegas. The company claimed it having industry-leading design and shares electronic hardware with the latest smartphones”.
It has the world’s first dual-mode, dual-eSim in-car tech for better connectivity. One of the eSims can download updates and can switch to the updated software without delay without requiring a JLR retailer visit.
The other eSim can smoothly stream music with the help of the apps. Both of the eSims are powered by two Qualcomm Snapdragon 820Am automotive platforms with a Snapdragon X12 modem. Moreover, the integrated CloudCar’s latest connectivity tech makes the vehicle super easy to use.
Sony unveils Vision-S concept car
Sony has introduced its fully-electric Vision-S concept car at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It appears to have an in-car technology and EV capability. The vehicle has an appearance os a large luxury car with an all-electric platform.
The company claims to achieve 62mph in a respectable 4.8 seconds and onto a top speed of 149mph with this vehicle. It also includes the Sony Safety Cocoon that monitors its surroundings and respond to emerging risks. CMOS Image sensors reportedly offer high sensitivity object recognition while Solid-State Lidar measures distances and maps a picture of the area around the car in real-time.The Vision-S sensor systems are also there inside the car where Time-of-Flight technology can identify people and objects in the vehicle. It also allows gesture control of its systems and optimizes the infotainment experience.
The interior of the car has a minimalist approach and comes with a digital dashboard screen. There are widescreen display screens for the rear seats and an exclusive 360-degree audio system in the car.
Mercedes Benz unveils Vision AVTR with Avatar-themed concept
Mercedes Benz introduced its new Vision AVTR that surely has some out worldly visuals. The lack of steering wheel indicates the car is completely autonomous. Passengers can control the car with the oval-shaped controller. The controller and the car vibrate along with the pace of our breathing and heart rate once we take it in hand.
The car is said to offer a “child-friendly augmented reality experience.” This Avatar-themed car gets its power from its graphene-based organic battery cells and the interior is made from recycled plastics and vegan leather.
The wheels surely catch our attention. The chassis has a “One Bow” structure, giving the sleek and highly aerodynamic shell with transparent doors a bubble-like shape. The LED light strips give the car a modern lightening visual concept.
