One of the renowned Chinese telecommunications operators, China Unicom Fujian Branch has collaborated with ZTE Corporations in order to release the telecommunication industry’s first 5G converged set-top box, which comes along with the three-in-one function of Gigabyte gateway, router, and the set-top box machine itself.
This is mostly a thoughtful endeavor to make avail easy telecommunication processes in mountainous and coastal areas where optical fiber seems to be difficult to deploy. This is where the 5G uplink Gigabyte access helps to deploy the 5G converged set-top boxes.
Moreover, home WiFi is connected via a converged gateway and multipoint AP as well as Mesh protocol in downlink respectively. It further ensures Panoramic network coverage and seamless roaming facilities even within the four walls of a home.
When it comes to the set-top box, it comes with,
- high-performance chip
- AVS2 support
- Ultra-high-definition video recording
- rich interfaces and indicators like HDMI and USB.
Currently, the design confirms the black body with an ultra-thin base and three-dimensional design for heat dissipation. We also find a card design at the very bottom of the box used for deploying.
