The authorized Taiwanese rating board has posted the Xbox and PlayStation ratings for Company of Heroes 3, indicating an Xbox or PS5 release for the game.
Company of Heroes 3, a real-time strategy game by SEGA Corporation, is one of the most eagerly awaited games in the series. Now, the official Taiwanese ratings for Company of Heroes 3 hint that the Xbox or PS5 debut will also be available alongside the PC release.
Company of Heroes 3 seems to have been in the works for the Xbox and PS5
Since its debut in 2006, Sega has seen great success with The Company of Heroes, and a second sequel will be released the following year. Originally scheduled for release on November 17, the Company of Heroes 3 has been postponed to February 23, 2023.
Sega and the game’s creator, Relic Entertainment, have not made any announcements regarding the Xbox or PS5 release. However, these ratings are often accurate, so we may anticipate an official announcement shortly. Although the PC version of the game is now confirmed, there may be other releases in the works as well.
If this information is accurate, it would be a first for the Company of Heroes series as no earlier game has ever been launched on a console. It is also unknown how the developers will adapt the controls to better accommodate playing in this manner. This may possibly be the cause of the delay, since the developers may have intended to release the game simultaneously on all platforms.
Company of Heroes 3 is described as “the ultimate package of action, tactics, and strategy.” Players will be in charge of a real-time fight and later command as a General, leading the overarching campaign where every decision matters
It offers next-generation gameplay that is praised for its tactical aspects. It will be fascinating to see whether this offers the same gameplay experience on consoles if it actually launches on Xbox or PS5.
