After a long year, Xiaomi is bringing back the Redmi K-series smartphones to the Indian market. Redmi K-series has been Indians’ favorite since the inception of the first K-series in the country about three years ago.
However, as we just discovered in a tweet from the popular reliable tipster, the mobile brand is now returning the Redmi’s fan-favorite K-series – Xiaomi Redmi K50i to the Indian market.
Last month, the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi K50i had been uncovered online leaking some of its specifications and also said to be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 11T Pro. However, as officially confirmed the new Redmi K50i 5G is coming to the Indian market on July 20th, 2022.
Specifications
The upcoming Redmi K50i is said to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11T Pro, which recently debuted globally as the POCO X4 GT. The device featured a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display and a refresh rate of 144Hz. An octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor and a Mali G610 GPU could power the smartphone. It will boot MIUI 13, which is based on Android 12.
A Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the display and includes sensors such as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and compass with color spectrum. Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go, and A-GPS are all included in the smartphone.
The new Redmi K-series device will have three rear cameras: a 64MP Samsung GW1 primary sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. A 16MP selfie camera is supported on the mobile for video calls and online meetings. Additionally, the smartphone is powered by a huge battery of 5080mAh that supports 67W fast charging.
The handset is said to launch in three color options – Phantom Blue, Stealth Black, and QuickSilver. In terms of storage capacity, the Redmi K50i 5G is expected to pack in two variants of 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.
Launch Date, Availability, and Pricing
As we mentioned earlier, the Xiaomi Redmi K50i will be officially announced in the Indian market on July 20 and will go on sale starting from July 22 in the country.
