Mobile data has become quite expensive around the globe, and there is not really much sign of the price going down soon. Irrespective of the way users utilize their data balance, they are always pretty anxious about how long their data will last.
To help the consumers, Google has developed its latest app, Datally. It is designed to help the users to understand, control, and save their mobile data. It helps users to save more data. This app shows the data usage hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. It comes with personalized recommendations that allow saving more data.
It lets the users track and control mobile data from any app with the Data Saver bubble. Turning on the Data Saver Bubble in the app, it blocks the background data usage. It also tracks the real-time data usage while using the other applications. It works more or less like a speedometer for data. By only a single tap, an app can block the data usage of a certain app. Users can use this feature if any app’s data usage suddenly gets out of control.
It helps to save data as well by detecting the nearby public Wi-Fi.
Datally has been tested for the past few months in the Philippines. This app has reportedly helped people to save up to 30% of their data. Today Datally has been made globally available by Google and users can download it from the Google Play Store. It will work on phones running Android 5.0 Lollipop and higher.
