A new gameplay trailer for the Dead Space remake has been published, offering fans their first glimpse at the upcoming game. Dead Space is back, entirely revamped from the bottom up to provide a richer, more authentic experience. Here is everything that has been made public so far regarding the remake, including the system requirements, features, and more.

Dead Space Remake gameplay preview

The Dead Space remake aims to completely reconstruct the game with jaw-dropping graphic quality, creating a universe that is far more realistic, complete with crewmember entrails. It also claims new gameplay features and an extended storyline.

Isaac Clarke, the main character in all three Dead Space games, is shown racing through the corridors of the USG Ishimura, a planet-cracking spaceship, in the trailer, which was released on Tuesday evening. He is still clearly recognizable but also appears to have undergone a significant change from the Dead Space protagonist from the 2008 game.

The main change this time is the inclusion of a voiced protagonist in the original game. Isaac is shown using his iconic weapon, the plasma cutter, to mutilate and destroy a variety of zombie monsters known as Necromorphs in the gameplay trailer.

Dead Space Remake game features

Engineer Isaac Clarke and the crew of the USG Kellion are on a planned mission that suddenly transforms into a fight for survival as the truth about the horrors aboard starts to come to light.

After an enhanced narrative experience, you may use the last records of the unfortunate crew and your interactions with the few surviving survivors to learn the horrific mysteries of what happened onboard the USG Ishimura.

You’ll experience a dazzling sci-fi scenario full of strange and terrifying moments without disruptions, from the horrifyingly detailed chambers and workstations of a slain crew to the spooky ambient noises of a barren vessel.

System requirements

EA has yet to provide the system requirements for the Dead Space remake since there has been very little information released. However, according to Steam, all that is currently known is that a 64-bit operating system and CPU are needed. The game won’t be backward compatible with older platforms and will only be available on PC, Xbox Series S|X, and PlayStation 5.

Dead Space remake is a classic sci-fi survival-horror game set to be released on January 27, 2023.
