Owing to its prolonged presence in the market as the best choice for a laptop, the Dell XPS 13 has, for a long time, been offering low-end configurations for tight budgets. The viable design has remained quite unchanged since its inception in 2015.
The year began with Dell revealing details of the new 2018 XPS 13, ushering with it the change we have been eagerly waiting for, comprising an 8th- generation Core CPU, several port options, and impressive battery health. While the 4K model sustains for 11 hours and 12 minutes, the HD display offers 19 hours and 46 minutes, along with 1500:1 contrast ratio and 400 nit brightness- a huge leap from the 2017 model.
The focus on display has resulted in wrapping it around tiny bezels. Size-wise, the model has been made more transport-friendly, trimming it down by almost 24 percent, beating the previous model by a mile.
There has been a tremendous development in the design department, a fresh deviation from the rampant cloning of MacBooks and slabs of color. We saw this innovation in the 2015 XPS 13 and history will now repeat itself with the new release. The “runaway” influenced Rose Gold tinge shall bring back the vogue attributed to white laptops, looking significantly different from its contemporary counterparts. The black carbon-fiber model is unique, the design of which has not been plagiarised yet.
To top it all, the heat dispensing system is done by Gore Fabric, a strain of cloth found in athletic jackets, making it infinitely cooler than other laptops!
