At the end of last year, DJI launched the DJI Care All-round Accident Protection Plan. Now this service has expanded to overseas markets. In a recently made announcement, DJI care states that the DJI Care Refresh service now will also include the DJI Flyaway Coverage (Flyaway Protection Rights).
The announcement stated: “Unexpected situations will happen at any time. No matter how well prepared, in complex environments such as signal interference, strong winds, and blocked vision, your DJI drone will inevitably have accidents. This is DJI Care. The reason Refresh is here to help ensure that accidents don’t leave you empty-handed.”
What this new inclusion means is that in an event of a flight accident, the users with the DJI Care Refresh service will only need to pay the corresponding service fee to get a replacement for their DJI Mini 2 and Mavic Air 2. However, for this replacement to take place, the purchasing of the Care Refresh Service becomes a prerequisite, failing which, DJI will bear no responsibility.
After successful completion of the purchase of the DJI Care Free Exchange series service and the account association and remote control binding on the latest version of the DJI Fly App, the Fly Lost protection rights will become effective. After providing information feedback in case of accidents, the users will receive the same brand new product or a product with the same performance and reliability after paying a corresponding service fee. This is designed to bring down the loss caused by a flight accident.
DJI Care’s free replacement service can provide up to 3 times of protection and the benefits regarding this can be used up to 2 times. The DJI Mini 2 flying loss protection service fee is USD 225, and the Mavic Air 2 flying loss protection service fee is 399 USD.
