Earlier this week, we reported that the new DJI Mini SE 2 will be unveiled soon. Specifically, Deals drone confirmed the launch date to February 9th. In just a few hours of the day, the world’s largest drone manufacturer, DJI has officially announced the new entry-level drone – the DJI Mini 2 SE priced at $369.
As the rumours indicated, the new entry-level drone comes with a few upgrades to the current model. The drone has a 10km video transmission ability which is considerably lower than the Mini 2 drone. Now, let’s look at some of the exciting specs of the drone.
DJI Mini 2 SE Specs
The most exciting feature of the new DJI Mini 2 SE is that it can fly more than twice as far as the original Mini SE thanks to the in-house OcuSync 2.0 transmission system, but the “Enhanced WiFi” system has a range restriction of up to 4 km. The drone can maintain a more reliable video signal over longer distances.
The drone also features a brand-new, respectable camera system with a three-axis gimbal and a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor that can record 2.7K video and 12-megapixel still photographs. Up to 10 km (6.2 mi) away, HD video transmission is supported, and the drone can fly steadily in gusts of 10.7 m/s (24 mph) thanks to Level 5 wind resistance.
The DJI Mini 2 SE’s flight time on a single battery charge is around 31 minutes, which is an additional minute above the 30-minute flying time of the previous model. The device can be used without having to register it with the Federal Aviation Administration because it weighs 249 grams, the same as its predecessor.
DJI Mini 2 SE Pricing
According to the drone manufacturer, the DJI Mini 2 SE will be sold for $369 starting next month. For $519, the company is now offering a Fly More Combo bundle that comes with extra batteries, new propellers, and a carrying case in addition to the drone.
