Dragon Ball fans can “relive the story of Dragon Ball Z” (as posted by Gamespot staff Kevin Knezevic), now that Bandai Namco has announced something great for the DBZ players.

During this weekend’s Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals, Bandai Namco announced a second season of DLC for the fighting game and has also released the first trailer of its new Dragon Ball Z action RPG, called ‘DRAGON BALL GAME – PROJECT Z’  that it has been working on. The publisher has confirmed that the game will be coming to the PC and is scheduled for a 2019 release.

In ‘DRAGON BALL GAME – PROJECT Z’, players will be able to assume the role of Goku (also known as Kakarot). The game will also throw the spotlight on featuring the Piccolo Arc from Dragon Ball and the Saiyan Arc and Freeza Arc from Dragon Ball Z, though it is unknown whether they would include the Androids, Cell, and Buu arcs.

The debut trailer doesn’t demonstrate much about the gameplay, but it’s apparent that the game would be recounting the story of Dragon Ball Z. It also illustrates some iconic moments from the series, such as the first time Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan during his battle with Freeza, while the narrator goes, “True warriors are in a neverending search for the ultimate fight.

This is the story of the mysterious Dragon Balls. A story about determination, despair, and hope. This is the story of Goku, the one they call Kakarot.” Certain familiar locations, such as Capsule Corp. and the Kame House, are also shown in the trailer.

This RPG game has been widely sought after by numerous DBZ fans who would, at last, enjoy Dragon Ball Z in a non-fighting game.

There has not been any official title announced for the upcoming Dragon Ball action RPG, nor has Bandai Namco stated any particular release date. But the game is definitely slated to launch sometime in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
