This morning, SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk shared a video update from SpaceX’s Starship Mars rocket to the moon via its official Twitter handle.

Recall that Elon Musk had earlier announced last week that he’d give a big Starship update on Thursday (Feb. 10) at 9 p.m. EST (0200 GMT on Feb. 11).

SpaceX’s Starship Mars rocket is the first big Starship update in more than two years for Elon Musk. Since September 2019, SpaceX has made significant progress on the Super Heavy rocket and Starship upper stage.

Reports have revealed that in preparation for launch, engineers and technicians at the South Texas facility at the SpaceX called Starbase have stacked a Starship vehicle on top of a Super Heavy booster.

A Super Heavy named Booster 4 and the Starship prototype SN20 is involved in the stacking (“Serial No. 20”). This pair was launched today during the Starship program’s first-ever orbital test flight, which is expected to take place in early March.

Booster 4 and SN20 have already been stacked by SpaceX. Last August, the company did just that, constructing a 395-foot-tall (120-meter) behemoth that was momentarily the world’s largest launch vehicle.

SpaceX’s ambitions for the Starship program were first revealed by Musk in 2016. Since then, the firm has rapidly developed numerous Starship prototypes and earned a NASA contract to deploy Starship vehicles to land astronauts on the moon as part of the agency’s Artemis program.

However, as the SpaceX founder and CEO, Elon Musk gave a video update from SpaceX’s Starship via its official Twitter handle, several fans have been reacting to the tweet.

“Elon, that is so amazing that you’re sending us the drone footage that we saw in the video, after looking at your tweet. We are definitely in a simulation.” Fans reacted.

Another Elon Musk fan who reacted to the tweet said:

“Amazing! Proud to live in a time where space travel is nearly commonplace and will soon be accessible to average people.”

Reacting to the tweet Elon fan from India asks thus:

“Congratulations top businessman USA love you brother from India

What do you think is the star link in India.”
