Paradox Interactive and Romero Games announced at the PDXCCon Remixed that the game Empire of Sin with its new paid expansion will be launched sometime later this year. The company has also launched a new trailer for the game, and the trailer announces that the game will introduce a new boss named Meyer, “the Accountant” Lansky. Empire of Sin: Make It Count will also feature the Fixers and their related Loan Sharking Racket.
The original game was launched last year, and the new part of the game that is yet to be included will be the first major expansion on the part of the developers. The new part will build upon the core game.
Some of the major new characters include Meyer Lansky, who goes by the name of the Mob’s Accountant. The Fixers consists of five gangsters for hire who come with their own various combat abilities. This Racket unlocks Blackmail over other characters and factions. The more the game progresses, the more the story and the history behind Lansky and the Fixers unfold.
The players, after unlocking certain levels, also get to meet Lansky’s mentor, Arnold Rothstein. For anyone who is unfamiliar with gameplay and the story behind the Empire of Sin, the strategy will assign the role of an underworld crime boss in the 1920s Prohibition era in Chicago. The players need to build and upgrade their crime rackets while also managing the rival gangs. The players also need to fight off various characters to win and assert dominance, and for doing so can choose various weapons such as firearms, brass knuckles, and nail bats.
Empire of Sin: Make It Count will be launched alongside the Precinct update and will be launched on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One later this year. The date for the launch is yet to be announced.
