PlayStation announced that Endwalker, Final Fantasy XIV Online will come on the PS4 and the PS5 this fall.

During the showcase for the upcoming game, Naoki Yoshida, the producer, and director shared a few details about the upcoming game. Endwalker will come with the climax of the Hydaelyn and Zodirak story arc. It will give the new players some time to enjoy the story that ultimately leads up to the Endwalker game, in the first place. In addition to the main new story, the players will also have to undertake new jobs, enjoy an increased level cap, explore vast new areas, and much more.

In an official blogpost, PlayStation mentioned, “Alisaie and Alphinaud (finally!) get their turn in the spotlight, and it looks like Alphinaud changed jobs for the occasion. The Warrior of Light seems to have shaken off the darkness from Shadowbringers and is sporting some well-worn Paladin armour as well – but we can’t ignore the fact that he’s on the moon! There is a lot packed into that teaser, but we still have much more to share.”

As mentioned above, the game will come with a lot of new quests that will enable the player to explore new areas. The gameplay would include a journey to Thavnair, the imperial capital of Garlemald, and even to the Moon. The Level Cap has increased from 80 to 90; Garlemald, Thavnair, and the city of Radz-at-Han are among the few new areas included in the game.

The players will be introduced to a new tribe, the Arkasodara, and will face off a new face including Anima. Endwalker also introduces Island Sanctuary where the players can wind down and relax in-game, raise animals and cultivate the earth.

The PlayStation 5 version of Final Fantasy XIV Online arrives on April 13 with the launch of open beta, whereas the final version will follow suit. The full version of the game will be available for purchase after the open beta concludes.
