The Tesla Cybertruck, which was unveiled in November 2019, has been one of the most anticipated pickup truck and EV models in the US for more than three years. Millions of potential buyers have expressed interest in the unconventional electric pickup truck, which is eventually scheduled to go on sale in 2023 after numerous delays.
In March 2022, it was revealed that Tesla wants to finish Cybertruck development this year for production in 2023. However, in June, Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, stated that the EV giant is looking for production to begin in the middle of 2023. At the time of unveiling, the Cybertruck reservation was $99; since then, a lot has changed.
As we are getting close to the mass production and release date, it seems Tesla has reopened the Cybertruck reservation. A recent tweet from the popular Austin Tesla Owner, Gail Alfar, shows that Cybertruck’s reservations are live. In response to the tweet, Elo Musk said: “We are doing it!”
In the tweet, the tipster shared an image of the reservation page, which confirmed the Cybertruck was reserved. And enclosed with the caption: “You will be notified to complete your Cybertruck configuration as production nears.” Gail Alfar didn’t disclose the amount for the reservation, but an earlier report ascertained $100.
Expected features in the Cybertruck are 800-volt system voltage to support high-power charging at Tesla V4 Supercharging stations, supercar level power, a 500-mile range, and built-in air compressor and onboard power, among others.
