Social harassment was becoming one of the greatest concerns over Facebook. Many users came up with this complaint which majorly included women and journalists.

So, to resolve this issue Facebook is introducing the following features:

1. Preventing unwanted contacts

One of the major issues faced by a Facebook user was when they blocked the unwanted users, those users troubled them by creating another fake account. So, in order to prevent this issue, Facebook will come up with an automated feature which will identify the fake accounts in no time. Thus, will block millions of them at registration every day.

2. Ignoring messages

Now with this feature, you just need to tap on a message to ignore the conversation. This feature will disable the notifications and move the conversation from your inbox to filtered messages folder allowing you to read the conversation without notifying the sender. Currently, this feature is only available on a one-on-one basis but will be soon made available to group messages.

3. Working with experts

Facebook works with the team of experts who belong from various fields in order to provide their users with all safety resources. This can be observed as Facebook has developed new resources for survivors of domestic violence in partnership with the National Network to End Domestic Violence.
