Facebook Gaming tweeted on March 14th, “Play, watch, connect and discover in a new, dedicated Facebook Gaming tab – starting to roll out today” and the tweet has been received with so much love and enthusiasm by the users. According to Facebook research, more than 700 million people each month play games, watch gaming videos or engage in gaming groups on Facebook.
The Facebook team wants to make the life of gamers on Facebook a little easier by introducing the Facebook Gaming tab in the main navigation bar. Introducing the Gaming Tab will make it easier for people to find and connect with their favorite games, streamers, groups, and more. This is part of Facebook’s recent design update. It has made some personalized shortcuts for people which will grant them easy access to the communities and content they interact with the most. It is a place where people can find anything that is of interest to them or have been using Facebook to connect to a certain community.
The users do not have to go to different places on Facebook to click on a section that then will take them to their desired content. This is the single tab where everything will just come together. Using this new gaming tab users can play games, watch gaming videos, and connect with gaming groups.
The Facebook Gaming tab will become the primary home for Instant Games on Facebook. It will also allow them to find and follow videos from top streamers, esports organizations, and game publishers. Once the users have their preferences in place, Facebook will recommend new streamers. Using this feature, users will also be able to follow updates from the gaming groups, connect with other group members, and find new groups to join. Facebook will gradually gather data and improve its content recommendations over time.
Facebook will roll out this special feature to more than 700 million people, and they will gradually grant access to gaming enthusiasts. However, everyone can find the tab by going to the Bookmarks menu. Apart from this new gaming tab, Facebook is also continuing a beta test on a standalone Facebook Gaming app on Android.
