Facebook Messenger Launched Send Money Feature in UK and France

After the successful launch of the peer-to-spend money feature by Messenger in the US, it has headed towards the UK and France. The new Messenger feature offers you to send money to your dear ones through the messaging platform. It is so convenient that it is now one of the most used options to send money under $50 in the US.

People from UK and France were asked about the occasion when they wanted to send money to their friends. The list included celebrations, social events, and festive occasions. Messenger recognized that this feature is a need not only to share money but to share the priceless emotions connected with it.

This application was first launched in the US in the year 2015. After it became an essential part of people’s lives in the US, Messenger extended its launch in UK and France. This is the first feature by Messenger with an option to send money within the boundaries specified. It, therefore, offers a P2P method of payment on your Messenger. Alongside the same, this includes text, emoticons, pictures, and GIFs as well. The animation includes an animation of falling Euros and British Pounds.

So, how you can send money to your contacts on the Messenger app? Here are the steps you can follow:

  • First, start the message with your dear ones.
  • Then you need to tap the blue + icon and then tap the green Payments icon.
  • Then, the next step you need to do is set up your payment account (only the first time) and enter the amount you want to send.
  • After the tap on Pay, you can add your debit card details.
  • Finally, look for the amount of money you sent to rain down on the screen.

Same way to receive money on the other end – you need to:

  • Initially, open the conversation with your dear one.
  • Next, tap Add Card in the message, add your debit card, and set up your payment account to accept money for the first time.

The procedures are simple as well as secure. The spokesperson from Messenger clearly stated that Messenger would use authentic identities for you to know who you’re talking to. So, as per the security issue related to payment is concerned, Messenger takes extra steps for your protection. Here, all debit card credentials are encrypted and protected with bank-level security, with world-class anti-fraud specialists monitoring your payments.

At some point in time, if it happens that Messenger finds unauthorized activity on your account, it will work with you to secure your account again. In Messenger, this feature can be used only with debit cards, so if you see unauthorized charges; you have recourse with your bank.

Messenger is known to come out with an additional feature known as M suggestions for payments in the UK and France. This feature will offer suggestions by popping out into an open conversation to suggest relevant content and capabilities. M is powered by artificial intelligence and so is completely automated and will recognize when people will be discussing payments. At this point, it will give them the option of easily sending or requesting money.

Finally, there are certain things money can’t buy, including your love and emotions. But sharing this emotion through Messenger’s new feature will surely be something special. So, share your feelings and send money through this feature of Messenger and let us know your views.
