Good news for Instagram lovers having Windows 10 tablets – the popular photo-sharing app is now available on tablets running Windows 10. Instagram lets users to take pictures and videos and share them either publicly or privately on the app, as well as through a variety of other social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Flickr.
Earlier in April, a new version of the Instagram app was released for Windows 10 mobile phones, along with Facebook Messenger for the Windows Universal Platform (WUP). Now to make it more usable for the users, today, the company introduced the Instagram App for Windows 10 tablets having all its predecessor features, including Instagram Stories, Direct, and Explore.
The company announced its new Windows 10 app back in October of last year, which is finally available to users. You’ll be able to capture, edit and share directly from your Windows 10 tablet device, same as the mobile phones.
Company stated that, “The team over at Instagram is rolling out Instagram for Windows 10 mobile with all of the community’s favorite features — including Direct Messaging, updated Search and Explore, Videos and Account Switching. Instagram also supports Live Tiles, so if you pin the app to your home screen you’ll get notifications from Instagram right on your start screen.”
Moreover, it also supports Live Tiles and notifications. The new Instagram app will replace the current Instagram (beta) app on Windows 10 Mobile, and it probably won’t be coming to PCs anytime soon.
