Food ordering got simpler through Facebook. Typically while ordering food, there was a need to decide what to eat and where to eat. It was complicated. The social media giant is rolling out a Facebook food ordering section.
A Facebook Food ordering is launched to simplify the process. Through it, food can be ordered for pick-up or delivery. Till now people figured out in Facebook on what to eat, by reading about the local community restaurants, of what their friends say about them. Now, food ordering got easier.
Facebook aggregates various food ordering services as well as the restaurants like EatStreet, Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow, Olo, Jack in the Box, Five Guys, Papa John’s, and Panera, so that the user need not navigate through the internet to find the right food ordering services and restaurants for themselves. Ranging from local eateries to national restaurant chains, Facebook connects users with old favorites and new discoveries in just a few clicks. The customers can even browse through what their friends have to say, about a restaurant, before they order their food.
Customers can browse restaurants in the Order Food section in the Explore menu of the app. On this page, customers can browse food options and select Start Order when they find their desired food. The customers can select the appropriate service offered by the restaurant that they order from, like takeout or delivery with multiple services. If the customer has an existing account with a food service they can easily order, else they can easily register themselves through the Facebook app.
The app was tested last year and on the basis of feedback and adding more partners, the app is rolled out everywhere in the US on iOS, Android, and desktop.
Customers will now be able to shift through restaurants near them that take orders via Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow, Zuppler, EatStreet, Slice, and Olo, as well as directly from restaurants including Papa John’s, Wingstop, Panera, Jack in the Box, TGI Friday’s, Denny’s, El Pollo Loco, Chipotle, Five Guys and Jimmy John’s.
