Facebook Works on Job Application Questions and Other Tweaks

The COVID-19 crisis has changed the world as we know it. Uncertainty fills the lives of job seekers. It also poses a problem for recruiters who can’t physically meet with the prospective employees. Facebook looks to step in to assist people and companies in this hour of need.

Facebook has been working on Job Application Questions. Jane Manchun Wong shared this news on Twitter:

It is clear that the social media giant posts the questions to help the recruiters hire employees. As billions of users use the app, this would make the application process simpler for the job-seekers. The recruiters would also be able to sort the entries and shortlist their choices from the answers to these questions. Privacy issue remains a concern, as such sensitive information would be available to the social networking site.

Moving on, Facebook is trying to sort out its Group section further. The company is looking to introduce a “People Are Talking About” section. This would probably group the subject of talk under each group. It would help the user to see the available topics under discussion and chose to either join or avoid.

Jane Manchun Wong shared information on this latest development by Facebook on Twitter:

Facebook’s attempt to help with the hiring process seems commendable. Its record with privacy issues does, however, raises a legitimate concern.
