The Fall Guys community has become furious about a recent auto-buy bug that led to gamers unwittingly purchasing in-game cosmetics. Players’ Show Bucks have been deducted due to a glitch when they just preview any cosmetics in the game’s store. Players have reacted strongly to this, which is understandable considering that Show Bucks are bought with actual money.
Players identified the bug yesterday when they saw that Fall Guys didn’t have a confirmation option, thus merely previewing an item may result in an in-game purchase. A few observed problems with the Fall Guys store led to gamers purchasing things they didn’t desire in each case. Several players sharted sharing about this glitch.
Mediatonic recently released a statement saying that “What is happening in the game is not planned and we are actively rectifying it.” “The customer support response was also unacceptable, and we will provide a make good for everyone affected,” the statement continued.
According to Mediatonic’s website, all transactions made in Fall Guys are “non-refundable.” Despite many accounts of players having lost cash due to unintended purchases, it is presently unknown whether this policy will alter in the future if such issues arise again.
Moreover, as of now in response to the bug, the developers tweeted that they are redesigning the store to stop this from occurring again, giving every player Grandis a color-changing Legendary outfit, and accepting any refund requests for purchases starting from June 21 until the problem is resolved. The developers will make sure such bugs won’t appear again and the ongoing glitch will be resolved as soon as possible.
It was crucial that Epic addressed the aforementioned matter immediately and effectively because of this. That seems to have happened, so perhaps players won’t have to worry about purchasing cosmetics. Moreover, regardless of whether you were impacted by the shop error or not, everyone will receive the Grandis skin for free.
