With a milestone of over 10 million gamers joining in during its first week of release, FIFA 23 has so far proven to be a huge success in EA’s Sports FIFA franchise history. As football has become more popular globally over time, the popularity of the franchise has also increased.

FIFA 23 crossed over 10.3 million players in its first week

EA’s press statement states that 10.3 million players have played FIFA 23, shattering all old records. As a result, the developers are thrilled with the figures and the game’s performance thus far. Although FIFA 23 also has a free trial option, it’s important for gamers to note that the game has not sold ten million units in its first week.

‘The response from our fans has been nothing short of phenomenal, and we’re overjoyed that our community is playing with their beloved players and teams in record numbers over FIFA 23,’ remarked Nick Wlodyka, EA Sports’ senior general manager, and vice president.

He added, “With both the Men’s and Women’s World Cups, and exciting updates to our women’s club football content in-game still yet to come, we’re just getting started on providing players with the most authentic and immersive experience yet.”

Numerous factors contributed to the massive success of FIFA 23, but the main one that makes it the best football game in the world and the sole option for football fans everywhere is undoubtedly the absence of a competitive rival.

Hyper-realistic pitch, enhanced matchday experience, and women’s clubs are some of the game’s biggest inclusions, yet despite that, many of the series’ standard features, such as Ultimate Team mode, are indeed maintained. The release of FIFA 23 has a greater nostalgic significance since the series will be rebranded next year.

Despite the fact that EA and FIFA no longer collaborate on the video game series, EA Sports FC will nonetheless feature the same or a comparable lineup of players, teams, and stadiums in 2019 thanks to other license agreements the company has in place.
