Mozilla announces to add a new feature to its browser, which will mainly cover the security purposes.
With this new update, users will receive an immediate notification if there had been any breach to the websites they had been visiting. The Firefox notifications shall include the summary about the nature and the extent of the breach that will include the capability of heading over to the company’s Firefox Monitor services and the changes shall be visible for the Firefox users over the coming weeks.
The Firefox Monitor can also make an inquiry about the concerned email address that was part of the breached data using the HIBP database.
The company is already boasting hundreds of thousands of users that have signed up for it with the availability of the services in almost 26 new languages.
The users are expected to receive the notification about the breach on a specific site once, by avoiding the spam and can always disable the proceedings of functioning by clicking the drop-down which is next to the ”dismiss” button and select the ‘never show Firefox Monitor alerts’ option. This will automatically show the notifications if the report of the breach had been reported within the last 12 months.
