Finally, some scenes of Joaquin Phoenix as Joker are now known. Warner Bros. presented the poster on Tuesday and today released the first trailer of this long-awaited film about the origins of the famous villain, previously played in the movies by Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, and Jared Leto. The film opens on October 4.
The advancement of the film directed by Todd Phillips, known for the trilogy The Hangover, was launched after its debut at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Phillips said that the film explores the past of a character without definite origin and that when Warner wanted to know the genre of the film for the marketing campaign, he did not know what to answer and only said: “tragedy”.
In addition to Joaquin Phoenix, the cast includes Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy (Six feet under), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool), Bill Camp (The Night Of), and Marc Maron (GLOW), among others.
