Fitbit app users having Windows 10 are refacing serious issues after the latest update issued by the app developer. Despite the release notes referring to general bug fixes and improvements, reports began to come out on the official Fitbit forum, via Windows Latest, that it is causing the app to crash across a range of Windows 10 Mobile devices.
“I got an update for my windows phone Fitbit app one day (or two) ago, and after the update, the app doesn’t run anymore – it crushes every time I try to open it and the store app says the apps should get repaired which leads just to a never-ending install-cycles. 🙁 Deleting and reinstalling the app doesn’t help.
P.S. the Fitbit app runs normally on my windows laptop,” posted a user on Reddit.
A Fitbit spokesperson let the users know in an update to the thread that the team has been made aware of the issues that people are facing and they are working on debugging it. “Hi Everyone, we are currently investigating an issue with Windows 10 crashing after the latest update. In order to help this investigation, if you are experiencing this issue can you please provide the device model you are currently using?”, reads the comment.
Though Fitbit has asked the users to mention their device model, it seems that the problem is clearly rooted in Windows 10 models even though it works perfectly on Windows 10 PCs. The Fitbit officials have made no update regarding how much time they require to fix the issue. In case you’re facing some other issues or the same problem on your computers, do keep vigilance on the thread in Fitbit’s official forum, which deals with the problem. We are hoping this situation will end soon.
