Fortnite Battle Royale is coming to mobile devices. It’s the same age-old 100-player game that we all know from PlayStation4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. The version of the game that the game developing company is working upon is the Epic which is planning to be released on more portable devices like Android and iOS devices.
It will have the same map, same content, and same weekly update. The players of the Fornite Battle Royale will have the same experience that they had while playing the game on gaming consoles. Interested gamers will have to sign up for the invited event on iOS. The signup portal will be available on Monday 12th of March, 2018. The date for the Invite Event for the Android devices is not yet announced. However, it is expected that support for Android devices will be coming within the next few months.
Enthusiasts can sign up for the Invite Event at www.Fortnite.com. Once invited, the users will be given a link that will redirect them to the App Store, where they can download the full game version. It is expected that email invites soon will follow.
Epic is releasing Fortnite Battle Royale on new platforms in partnership with Sony. This is supposed to support cross-play and cross-progression between PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android. So the players will be able to squad up with their friends across various devices. However, missing from the above-mentioned list is Xbox One. The partnership with Sony brings to the surface the Microsoft snub. Sony reportedly turned down Microsoft’s proposal for cross-platform play because they thought they would be unable to turn on the cross-platform play for games like Minecraft and Rocket League.
To participate in the game, users need to have an internet connection and iOS 11 on iPhone 6S/Se, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, and iPad 2017 releases.
