Apple reportedly is going to launch the AirPods 2 this spring, along with the AirPower wireless charger, and they are supposed to be even more expensive than their predecessors.

Moreover, the report also mentions that Apple is making use of FaceID and touchscreen displays for Mac, although it cannot be said for sure as to when Apple will launch the Mac devices. This might have been expected, especially after Apple included the Face ID feature in iPads in 2018.

In addition to the new AirPods 2, Apple is currently testing Macs with Face ID as well as touchscreen displays. However, you shouldn’t expect a new Mac with Face ID to launch anytime soon. The current prototypes with Face ID and touchscreen are only meant for internal testing. – MySmartPrice

Time and time again, however, Apple had mentioned against bringing touch support to Mac laptops and desktops. But, Apple did talk about future versions of macOS running iOS apps from the App Store, and because these apps were created with a touch interface in mind, future Mac devices might just get a touch screen.

The report from MySmartPrice mentions that the design of the AirPods 2 will be similar to that of its predecessors and will be black and white in color, along with a new coating for improved grip. They will additionally have sensors on board, possibly health-related features.

The battery life would also be similar to AirPods, along with a relatively smaller battery in the wireless case.

The new AirPods 2 would cost around $200, and the AirPower wireless universal charger, whose 8-7-7 coil configuration would cause it to become relatively thicker, would cost $150. The accessory will require iOS 13 or later in order to deliver “exclusive features” that were not detailed.

TV commercials are also being filmed for the new AirPods 2.
