Samsung has taken after Apple in its strategic release of ‘S’ upgrades every other year, but the strategy has failed to shine this year, with the launch of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. A number of factors have contributed to the failure of Samsung’s latest flagships, including the fact that they have repeated the designs as well as the functions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, launched in 2017.
Furthermore, while Apple faces no competition when it comes to users desiring iOS phones, Samsung’s Android phones have a number of similar competitors in the market, steadily taking away from its uniqueness.
To save face, so to speak, Samsung is apparently working on bringing a brand new upgrade to Samsung Galaxy Note S9, as has been leaked by Weibo and Twitter user Ice Universe, who is famous for leaking accurate information about unreleased smartphones. His tweets read, “Do you often use SPen for Galaxy Note? The Note9 SPen feature is worth the wait. Galaxy Note9 S Pen is a pen with a soul. It may be the biggest update in the history of the S Pen.”
While the tweets are still shrouded in mystery, and nothing has been officially declared by Samsung yet; the accuracy of Ice Universe’s previous leaks have given Samsung users something to look forward to. The upgraded Galaxy Note 9 is scheduled to be launched this August.
