I wish I could own this new stylish wearable gadget when I was a kid. Unfortunately, I can’t bring those days back, and nor can I make this band fit my wrist. Garmin got into the market with this wearable roughly this time last year with the Vivofit Jr. This fitness tracker has thus relived a great worry of parents related to childhood obesity.
Obesity is one of the great concerns on a global level. And that’s not all; the major issue is that not only adults but also children are getting affected by this on a massive level. We all know how children are addicted to social media and indoor games. The survey states that today’s children are more interested in the virtual world rather than in playing outdoor sports. Trust me; this small wearable is going to work magic on your children.
Garmin has come up with a surprise as it introduces its fitness tracker wristbands for our juniors out there. The magic box has one more thing in it. These bands come up with three distinct storylines. There’s a Minnie Mouse band, a Star Wars edition with The Force Awakens favorite BB-8, and an Avengers version featuring Captain America.
Garmin has enlisted the intellectual property powerhouse of Disney to add some flare to the Vivofit Jr. for three distinct storylines designed to up engagement. Each works with a corresponding mobile app that sends kids out on adventures. The Minnie band asks kids to “plan a surprise birthday party for Mickey Mouse,” the Star Wars edition revolves around adventures on the planet Jakku, and the Avengers version tasks kids with saving New York City from Ultron, naturally.
One of the unique features of this wearable is yet to be discussed. It also has a feature in its app by which parents can monitor activity and assign reminders like chores, homework, and brushing their teeth. It is also water-resistant, so no worries about children’s activities, may it be anything including swimming.
Vivofit Jr. runs $100, and additional bands run $30. They’re definitely not the most affordable kid-friendly fitness trackers, but they do appear to be one of the more engaging.
Finally, after analyzing all the exclusive details regarding this wearable, I feel this is one of the unique gadgets to be owned. Only the major issue maybe is its price.
