New leaks are already arriving before the E3 event as Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin is working with Dark Souls studio FromSoftware on a new game called Elden Ring. HBO’s Game of Thrones, creator George R.R. Martin’s got several other projects in the works, including, reportedly, a new video game.
As posted by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad (ZhugeX on Twitter) on 4chan, as reported by GameInformer, FromSoftware is allegedly set to reveal Elden Ring, a new RPG world from Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin.
Leakster Ahmad had posted a teaser image for the alleged collaboration game, showcasing the title of the game, Elden Ring, with an etched symbol comprised of several interwoven circles and a vaguely anchor-shaped image. Elden Ring is reportedly set in “a new world” from Miyazaki and Martin, which means it is not a continuation of the Dark Souls or Bloodborne franchises.
The perennial game leaker tweeted out a poster for the title, which is said to be a collaboration between Martin and Hidetaka Miyazaki, best known for his role in FromSoftware’s Souls series. The game is slated for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, and will be published by Bandai Namco. We’ll likely hear more about Elden Ring at Microsoft’s press conference on Sunday.
