Video messaging in real-time has become a reality – thanks to Glide, a lightning-fast video messaging app coming to your Android watch. Now you can watch video messages on your Android Wear with Glide. In addition, you can also watch live videos or send voice and photo messages.
Huawei Watch or the 49mm ASUS ZenWatch2 having in-built speakers will be able to view and listen to video messages directly on their wrists, and other Android users will be able to receive the messages from their phones.
Once the Android Wear users install the messaging app, they can view videos live or later and send dictated text, emojis, or live voice messages directly from their watches. See the full video here:
On the launch of Glide, Ari Roisman, CEO of Glide says,
“For decades, television shows and movies like The Jetsons, Dick Tracy, James Bond and Inspector Gadget have promised the arrival of real-time video communication from the wrist, Today, Glide is making science fiction a reality by delivering live video messaging to Android Wear.”
Backed by cloud-based technology, Glide Video Chat Messenger offers users the to watch live videos,s or even they can view the recorded video later. All these communications are saved in Glide’s secure private cloud – allowing users to view them at any time.
Glide has added support for Huawei and ZenWatch users, making it much simpler to communicate and watch video messages from anyone who has sent on your way. It’s also worth noting that Glide’s addition of Android Wear support extends to all Android Wear smartwatches.
Glide is available for free for Android users, and you can download the app on your smartphone by simply going to Google Play Store. The startup raised $30 million in financing last year and has seen 10 million downloads and billions of messages sent since its debut in Spring 2013.
